I hail from Maryland and have lived not far from Washington DC most of my life. My undergraduate degree from St. Mary's College of Maryland was a BA in English with a concentration in Women, Gender, and Sexuality. I later completed a MS in Information Technology and Program Management from the University of Maryland University College.
I started with AACN October 2008 on a grant program called New Careers in Nursing (NCIN) which focused on accelerated nursing programs, nursing pipeline initiatives, diversity, mentoring, leadership, and other professional development for our scholars.
In January 2017, I migrated to the AACN Faculty Initiatives department focusing on webinars, online communities, education modules, awards programs, the FacultyLink newsletter, and taking a wide look at quality engagement. While I have only been in this roll since January- I think we have made some great changes and we are ready for new adventures!
