Dr. Susan Corbridge is the Chief Essentials Program Officer at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Dr. Corbridge is a Clinical Professor Emerita at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing, where she served as faculty and in administrative roles for over 23 years. During her tenure at University of Illinois Chicago, Dr. Corbridge maintained an active clinical practice as a nurse practitioner and was a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Corbridge received a BSN from Northwestern University, a MS with a specialty as a critical care Clinical Nurse Specialist from Rush University, a post-masters acute care nurse practitioner certificate from Rush University, and a PhD in nursing science from the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Corbridge is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Academy of Nursing.
