    Dear colleagues,

We use Exam Soft for testing, and now that students are at home and will be taking their final exams at home, we will be using the electronic proctoring service that Exam Soft has retained. I have heard from a couple of students who are not comfortable with electronic proctoring (AI) and want to come in to take the test with a proctor at the College.

Before I respond, I am wondering if any of you have had this situation occur, and if so, how are you handling it?

Are you allowing any testing to be done on campus?

    Thank you,

    Barbara Sorbello

    Good morning, Barbara:

We are not offering any of our exams onsite/face to face.  All are being done online.  To date, none of our students have expressed concerns or reservations about this process.

    Barbara:

Most campuses have implemented electronic monitoring of students during exams.  We, too, use ExamSoft, but found their monitoring service/feature was too expensive. We are using Zoom to monitor taking exams using ExamSoft with students being required to access Zoom on their cell phone or iPad, and setting it up to record their activity while taking the exam.  Faculty are set-up to monitor the video coming in through Zoom.  We are not permitted to have anyone come to campus for testing purposes.
